Small to medium sized businesses throughout the Lake District & Cumbria are to benefit from a new online directory service, created specifically for the promotion of local business and local enterprise.
LDRBiz, a free-to-list business directory is the brainchild of Lake District Radio, who broadcast 24/7 from their studios near Kendal and Lakeside.
Station Manager, Anton Kelly commented, “To our knowledge there is not a comprehensive Business Directory where all Lake District businesses can list for free – trade for free – and make their details, goods and services available to locals and visitors alike. There are a few where one has to pay to ‘join’, but none simply offering to promote local businesses between themselves and to others.”
And in the true spirit of doing business locally, Lake District Radio partnered with Windermere based Iosys Web Technologies Ltd to develop LDRBiz.
Craig Johnson, Managing Director of Iosys said “It’s been a true pleasure to work with the team at Lake District Radio. From the outset, the brief was clear, that ‘local’ was the focus, to promote local businesses and support the local economy. Far too often, similar websites are full of advertisements, popups and other general annoyances – with LDRBiz, there’s none of that. Utilising industry-standard technologies, we’ve developed a front-facing website along with an integrated bespoke back-office content management system.”
Anton continued, “We invite Lake District and Cumbrian businesses of all sizes of all types to sign up for free, and quite literally, put your business on the map. Simply go to https://ldrbiz.lakedistrictradio.org and click ‘Add Free Listing’ ”.
Lake District Radio can be streamed 24/7 via their website https://lakedistrictradio.org or via a smart speaker.
